BitMeTV Implements a ‘Global Ban’ of Romania

December 31, 2009 by sharky

Chalk up another private tracker that brought out the banhammer against Romania. Two months ago, BitMeTV issued a warning to their Romanian users of a possible "global ban". Consider this to be some sort of "trial period" in which if Romanians didn’t clean up their act, further action would be implemented. Yesterday, BitMeTV made good on their threat, and has now globally banned Romania from the tracker - albeit this ban is only temporary (for now).

SeedMore - The Hidden Blog Tracker

December 30, 2009 by sharky

Under normal circumstances FSF doesn’t often review older trackers, as torrent forums pretty much have this market adequately cornered. But since we couldn’t find a review on Seedmore.org anywhere, we thought we’d put it out there. On the surface SeedMore is a Wordpress blog, very much similar to yours truly, except without all the P2P content. But underneath the bogus blog, there lies a well-established private tracker with more than 13,800 torrents. We should also mention that they’re open for registration.

Interviews for Etiv.in (Invite Forum) Now Open

December 28, 2009 by sharky

Etiv.in is one of those torrent invite forums that essentially remains mostly a closed-system. Rarely does Etiv have registration open directly (just twice in their site history; both times were related to FSF articles). Nor do they have a perpetually-open IRC #invite channel for aspiring members to apply - the last time this occurred was back in October for just two short days. From now until January 1st, Etiv has opened a special #christmas-interview channel - now’s your chance to get into one of the ‘nets premier torrent forums.

AnimeByt.es Offers Rare ‘Open Signups’ to Anime, Hentai, J-Music Fans

December 25, 2009 by sharky

When FSF first reviewed AnimeByt.es back in July, we didn’t expect them to take off like they did. This awe-inspiring Gazelle tracker features 5,500 torrents for all things anime-related (anime, hentai, video games, anime music & soundtracks) as well as J-Music. Almost never open directly for public registration, Animebyt.es is slated to be open signup for two weeks from December 25th through January 8th.

DKF - A New Torrent Forum, Now Accepting Applicants

December 24, 2009 by sharky

We can’t give out much information about DKF (aka - The DarK Factory) aside from they’re a new tracker invites & discussion forum. Online for just over a month now, DKF has plenty of activity (threads: 374, posts: 4,179) - all from just 60 experienced members. Don’t expect DKF to open up for public registration anytime soon - either you’ll need to be invited directly, or else apply through their IRC channel.

HD Tracker ‘Bit-UNiT3D’ Now Open For Signups

December 23, 2009 by sharky

Anyone that’s already familiar with HD-UNiT3D.com, a popular high definition DDL forum, has probably already heard about their new Gazelle tracker Bit-UNiT3D. Up until now, their releases were only available as direct download links (DDLs) through filehosters. UNiT3D’s rips can’t be found on private trackers, but that all changed with the recent launch of their sister site Bit-UNiT3D - the official private tracker for all UNiT3D releases.

Convert Multiple Filehosters’ Links Into Premium Links

December 22, 2009 by sharky

Nothing can truly substitute the convenience of having your very own premium account at RapidShare, MegaUpload and other filehosters. But not everyone can afford to purchase premium access, especially nowadays when DDLers definitely need more than one filehoster. If you’re a fan of direct download links then certainly you’ve had some experience (likely forgettable) with those so-called filehoster-premium-link-generator websites. For most of these "services", users are most often bogged down by slow speeds or a tiny limit on the number of daily ‘generated’ premium links - if it works at all - let alone will any support multiple filehosters and simultaneous transfers. RapidPremium is a new unique website that does exactly what it claims to do.

HDBits Invites Cancelled, as Sellers Get the Jump

December 18, 2009 by sharky

Official news from HDBits now confirms that a recent announcement for a 24-hour open-invite slated for this Monday has been shelved for the time being, if not indefinitely. Certainly this is bad news for those on the outside looking in, but as a whole, the HDBits community is supportive of the decision. So, what caused the rollback of the invites? Simply for the exact same reason that the invitation system was disabled exactly one year ago to this day - invite sellers trying to make a quick buck.

Complete List of Private Music Trackers (by Category)

December 17, 2009 by sharky

While enormously popular What.CD (671,500 torrents) and Waffles.fm (277,400 torrents) are the undisputed kings of music trackers, there’s a vast world of alternative music-related torrent sites. In this article we’ve grouped together a list of 100 music trackers by category, with torrent & member statistics for each (where applicable). Enjoy the music!

HDBits.org to Open Invite System For One Day Only

December 16, 2009 by sharky

If you’re relatively new to private trackers within the past year or so, then chances are you’ve never had the opportunity to join the Internet’s best HD tracker. But here’s some great news for HD fanatics! HDBits.org is opening their invite system for one day only on Monday, December 21st. For those who are unfamiliar with HDBits, it’s unquestionably the premier tracker for all things HD-related.

Leaked Screeners On The Decline For 2010 Oscars

December 15, 2009 by sharky

Has anyone else noticed that there are far fewer leaked screeners this year? Compared to last year’s rampant leakage of screeners that made it to P2P, many of which were found well in advance of scheduled wide theatrical release dates, it would certainly appear that The Academy has closed some gaps in their security. While still early, trends clearly suggest that late-season predicted Oscar-nominee screeners aren’t ending up on P2P as quickly as anticipated, if at all.

Demonoid Returns After a 3 Month Blackout

December 13, 2009 by sharky

If you haven’t heard the news by now, Demonoid has finally made their return; as TorrentFreak caught the scoop early this morning. Many feared the worst: accounts that may have vanished, or ratios not being updated correctly (not that this really matters). Not much of this has happened, mind you - Demonoid seems to be running almost exactly as it did before the extended downtime. But whatever happened to all the torrents?

Alternatives to OVH: The Best Server For Your Money

December 10, 2009 by sharky

Few can dispute the fact that OVH dominates the torrent landscape on many different levels. Whether it’s seedbox providers, resellers, trackers that use OVH, or savvy seedbox owners who do it on their own; OVH is reported to possess up to 70% of the seedbox/torrent market & traffic throughout private trackers. A simple peek into the peerlist on a popular torrent on a good private tracker easily concludes this - OVH is everywhere. Now that the Kimsufi C-05G comes with a €50 installation setup cost, we’ve found a few alternative providers that are more affordable (at least initially).

OVH Initiates a Setup Fee on Budget Kimsufi Line

December 08, 2009 by sharky

Hold onto your Kimsufi. OVH has long been considered a friendly hosting provider for both torrent trackers and seedbox providers, despite a few hiccups along the way. For many DIY seedboxers - and even smaller trackers, OVH has been the host of choice - especially popular is their line of Kimsufi C-05G ‘budget’ dedicated servers. The C-05G was the last remaining OVH server that came without a setup cost, but all that changed last week when they dropped the bomb that a 50 Euro/GBP setup fee is now being applied "to bring it into line with the rest of the Kimsufis" which spans across subsidiaries Kimsufi.com and Kimsufi.co.uk - and both OVH resellers and seedbox providers will feel the pinch.

CN: The Opportunity Awaits to Join the CN Tracker

December 07, 2009 by sharky

CN. We can’t tell you much about the mystical CN tracker. We can’t tell you how many members there are; we can’t even disclose the number of torrents. Nor can we do a proper review, since the site is shrouded in secrecy. You may have heard rumors about CN - certainly it’s one of the best-kept secrets in all of BitTorrent. However, what we can tell you is that CN is a tracker unlike any other; their unique coding is absolutely spectacular, backed up by a solid community. And CN is now accepting applicants through a questionnaire found below.

Tixati - An Advanced New BitTorrent Client

December 04, 2009 by sharky

Not too many BitTorrent clients are able to compete with uTorrent & Vuze, but if total control over your torrent transfers is a must, then Tixati is definitely something worth checking out. This new client offers an absurd array of advanced features; including trackerless torrent support, magnet links, and robust flexibility.

20+ New Private Trackers: December 2009 Edition

December 01, 2009 by sharky

If anything can be said in a positive light about the demise of SceneTorrents, it’s that trackers both new and old are enjoying increased activity. As irreplaceable as ScT is, here are 20 new private tracker hopefuls looking for a place among the torrent world.

Tracker Communities Rallying for SceneTorrents

November 29, 2009 by sharky

Whoever coined the phrase Black Friday gives it all new meaning, as this is also the weekend that SceneTorrents announced they’ll be quitting the torrent scene forever. Sadly, there really isn’t a substitute for this one-of-a-kind tracker, although many communities are pulling together to offer ScT refugees a new home. We’ve come up with a list of trackers that are offering invites, special/open signups or IRC recruitment in honor of ScT. If you feel like getting involved, add your site in a comment.

TorrentLeech Opens Registration for ScT Members

November 28, 2009 by sharky

You gotta hand it to w00t and the rest of the team at TorrentLeech.org. In light of ScT’s shocking announcement that they’ll be closing the door tomorrow, TL is kind enough to offer all ScT members an opportunity to sign up at TorrentLeech. Available through IRC, this one-time offer is only available to current ScT members (that don’t currently possess an account at TL). With 20,000 signup slots available, surely this is great news for those looking to join a winning tracker - but act quickly, it won’t last forever.

SceneTorrents Shutting Down For Good - Confirmed

November 28, 2009 by sharky

After 4½ years of domination, SceneTorrents has officially announced that they are shutting down for good. In addition to a message posted by ScT staff on their homepage which states that, indeed, ScT will be gone forever as of tomorrow night at 10PM GMT - The latest news/MOTD on their IRC channel confirms this, as well as a mass PM sent out to all 20,000 ScT members. After a short chat with the owner of ScT - Feeling has confirmed that this is not a hoax.

STN: Goes From 10,000 Members to 170 on Dec. 1

November 25, 2009 by sharky

Much to our chagrin, it appears that StoreThe.net may just be joining company with those two other trackers we mentioned in the first paragraph in our exclusive introduction of STN, after all. All accounts that have not upgraded as a tracker "sponsor" for €3 are scheduled to become disabled on December 1st, and permanently deleted a week thereafter. Here was a promising, fast-growing tracker that had as many as 10,000 members, soon to be transformed into a ghost town in the span of just two short months.

An Interview with TorrentLeech - A Living BT Legend

November 23, 2009 by sharky

Demonoid aside, few will contest that TorrentLeech.org is the most successful & popular English private tracker of all time. Coveted by millions and enjoyed by 180,000 - TL’s enormous fame is widespread - here’s a tracker that lives up to the hype. FileShareFreak caught up with w00t, the owner/SysOp of TorrentLeech, who was kind enough to share with us some of the inner workings of one of BitTorrent’s greatest success stories. Not to be missed; we’ve got some interesting info, exclusive stats & history, and what’s in store for the future of TorrentLeech.

The Dominating Trackers - Part 3: Best General / 0Day

November 20, 2009 by sharky

In our Part I on scene trackers, we conclude that most torrenters can easily attain the majority of scene releases provided by the Top Three. Each being somewhat different in what they provide, but collectively they’re invaluable assets for an overall portrayal of scene content. While scene is the standard, there’s also a wide appeal for non-scene (P2P) content found on general/0day trackers. In fact, the most popular trackers aren’t ’scene’ at all - which brings us to our list of the Top Three general trackers for 0day, scene & P2P releases.

The Dominating Private Trackers - Part I - The Best of The Best

November 13, 2009 by sharky

Here at FSF we review countless new trackers, but it’s about time we took a look into the oldskoolers to pay homage to the dominating trackers. You know the sites we’re talking about: ScT, SCC & GFT - to name the top three - as well as TV, RTT, TL, TiT and other contenders such as CT, DH, HT and more. These trackers are without a doubt the founding fathers of modern-day private BitTorrent, responsible for dozens of spinoffs and new projects - and even provide content to sites like IPT, BitSoup & Demonoid. We tip our hat to these great communities!

TopBytes, DigitalHive, LastTorrents & TopHos - Open for Signup

November 10, 2009 by sharky

4 trackers; 57,787 torrents. As luck would have it, all four of these great private trackers are open for signup at the same time. TopHos, normally closed to public signups isn’t just a tracker, it’s a community! TopBytes recently did some major housecleaning and re-opened registration today. DigitalHive is often underrated, but is a good scene tracker not to be overlooked (just a few signup spots left). LastTorrents is a tracker to compete with IPT, TL and the likes, and lists more than 27K torrents.

Seedbox vs Usenet: Why a Seedbox is a Waste of Money

November 09, 2009 by sharky

Before everyone throws their hands in the air screaming blasphemy for FSF denouncing seedbox usage, let it be known that FSF didn’t write this article. However, we thoroughly enjoyed it as it sheds much light on the validity of Usenet in comparison to BitTorrent/seedboxes, so we thought it be apropos to republish it (well most of it, anyways). The following is an excerpt taken from Usenetshack.com - who recently wrote an entertaining & informative rebuttal to seedbox use through the perspective of a Usenet subscriber.

14 New Seedbox Providers to Speed Up Your Torrents

November 07, 2009 by sharky

The overall cost of a seedbox service really hasn’t changed all that much over the past 18 months, but what has changed is what you can expect to get for your money. Providers that offer seedboxes with torrent limits are being left behind in favor of more robust (and affordable) solutions - with "slices" (VPSes) of a server being a preferred choice among pro seedboxers. Here we review & compare 14 new seedbox providers including a seedbox with 50 GB storage, unlimited torrents, unlimited bandwidth for just $10 a month.

Two New Trackers Open - DocsBits and SceneXvid

November 06, 2009 by sharky

Instead of waiting to add these hot new sites to our next "New Trackers" article, we thought it be best to present these two stylish (and purposeful) TBDev-coded trackers now. Both are specialized trackers; with DocsBits featuring eLearning torrents, and SceneXvid catering to scene-only XviD rips for TV, movies and adult releases.

Vizz.tv Exposed - A Review of the $24 TV Tracker

November 05, 2009 by sharky

Here’s one tracker you won’t be finding invitations floating around for, and that’s Vizz.tv. As many already know, this new TV tracker only offers membership through a $24 yearly fee. As luck would have it, we were fortunate enough to find a subscriber who granted us unconditional access. Presenting the Net’s first (and only) review of Vizz.tv, in which we explore if Vizz really lives up to the hype.

KickassTorrents - A Fast-Growing Torrent Indexer

November 02, 2009 by sharky

Rarely do we come across a public torrent site that’s worth writing extensively about. Most torrent indexers are little more than carbon copies of each other with few, if any, discernible features that make them stand out from the rest. You know the sites we’re talking about - AliveTorrents, ExtraTorrent, BTMon, TorrentFly, Torrentz - while great, it’s somewhat redundant to bookmark more than one. But there is one torrent indexer that’s doing things a little differently, and that’s www.KickassTorrents.com.

23 New Private Trackers: November 2009 Edition

October 31, 2009 by sharky

Activity has definitely picked up concerning new private trackers during the past month or so. Here’s our scary Halloween edition of what’s hot / what’s not among new trackers - including two new Gazelles you probably haven’t heard about; a great new scene tracker called Kaste; and, as usual, a bevy of sites worth forgetting.

Quickstart Guide to Free Satellite TV (IKS Edition)

October 30, 2009 by sharky

This quickstart guide covers everything you need to know about how to enjoy free satellite TV in North America, although other regions may be supported. For around $300 just about anyone can easily set up a motorized satellite dish complete with an LNB & receiver. With the blackout of Nagra3, most satellite pirates have turned to IKS to provide free satellite.

Find Private Tracker Invites at InviteTheScene

October 28, 2009 by sharky

Here at FSF, we’re always on the lookout for the newest tracker invite sites. Whether it be duds like TakeMe, CGI-U or SceneInvites - or studs such as TPS, Etiv and TR; we aim to report about them all unbiasedly - and let our readers decide. Let us introduce the latest torrent forum to launch - inviteTheScene.

How to Block Seedbox IP Ranges in uTorrent, Vuze

October 25, 2009 by sharky

The purposefulness of blocking or banning seedbox IP ranges when torrenting through a home PC is to be able to increase your upload rates to non-seedbox peers. By limiting your BitTorrent traffic to mostly other home users only, such as yourself, this will effectively cut out seedbox traffic - simply put; it means you won’t be uploading to seedbox peers in the torrents, in turn giving you an advantage to seed to lower-speed home torrenters. For some trackers that are difficult to seed on, in our tests we’ve found this solution to be somewhat effective in increasing upload data and sharing ratios.

Comic-Releech: #1 Comedy Tracker, Now Open Signups

October 24, 2009 by sharky

Looking for a tracker that caters specifically to stand-ups, funny flicks and comedy TV? Then look no further than Comic-Relee.ch. Packed with content and loaded with new features, community-inspired CoR has evolved into the premier comedy tracker on the ‘net. And just in time for Halloween, CoR is now open for registration for a limited time to anyone wanting to sign up.

EDIT: Oct. 30 - signups are still open.

Spurious ‘PEG Topsite’ Becomes a Tracker Reality

October 23, 2009 by sharky

Nothing sets off the private torrent community into a frenzy quite like the mention of a new l33t secret tracker. Many will probably remember old news about PEG. Supposedly PEG was a topsite in the style of a TBDev tracker, where members received direct web/FTP access to the fastest and latest scene releases - ratio free, naturally. Of course, all of this was just an elaborate hoax. However, the perpetrators of this fabrication have gone on to create the real PEG tracker.

Two Popular French Trackers Shut Down: Two More Open

October 21, 2009 by sharky

Hot on the heels of Guiks.net who pulled the plug on themselves - likely forcibly due to legal pressure from French authorities (at least the military wasn’t involved this time), two other popular French private trackers have now followed suit. Reload-Paradise and sister site HDParadise are also now fini - but the good news is they’ve already announced two new replacement trackers, both of which could be up as early as today.

The Top 50 Most Requested Tracker Invites of 2009

October 19, 2009 by sharky

After receiving countless requests for an updated version of our Top 50 Most Requested Private Tracker Invites article, we’ve finally gotten around to crunching the numbers once again. In comparison to last December’s statistics, the results are astonishingly quite different this time around. There are dozens of new popular trackers, defunct trackers, IRC applications, new torrent forums & more experienced private torrenters than ever before; collectively, all of these factors (and more) account for the difference in request popularity. Just like last year, it should be no surprise as to who holds the No.1 spot.

3 Very Cool New Online P2P Services - FSF Exclusives

October 17, 2009 by sharky

At FSF, we love exploring new P2P services; whether it be new trackers, P2P apps or online search utilities. We’ve got three brand-new sites to report about, including a very unique webservice for checking your IP address in a torrent; a new chic Web 2.0-style serial number search utility; and a website to help find passwords for downloaded files from RapidShare and other hosters.

10 Reasons for The Decline of Tracker Invite Requests

October 14, 2009 by sharky

The facts are in: Numerically, requests for tracker invitations are much in decline compared to what they were a year ago - even though there are more private trackers and more torrent forums than ever before. But does this mean that there are fewer people opting for private? Not at all. Private trackers as a whole are experiencing explosive growth, year after year. So, why have invite requests for private trackers decreased substantially from just 12 months ago? There are several pivotal reasons for this phenomenon.

NewSceneFiles - A New Pre-to-DDL Service

October 13, 2009 by sharky

Fanboys of SceneDDL and xldr.net now have another option for finding fresh scene releases, and that’s at NewSceneFiles.net. NewSceneFiles is a new autopost service that provides one of the fastest turnarounds on Pre’s to direct download links. In less than 6 weeks since launching, NewSceneFiles already lists an impressive 3,300+ releases, for an average of about 80 new releases each day.

Web-based Private Tracker Pretimes and Torrent Races at Trac3.me

October 11, 2009 by sharky

There’s a new PreDB website that not only offers a comprehensive listing of new scene releases, but also shows Traces - or torrent races. Introducing Trac3.me, a collaborated effort from the pros at APNet and ScnSrc. Trac3.me, also known as Trace, is a service similar to other PreDBs - but with an interesting twist. Not only are scene releases indexed in the thousands, but also displayed are the private trackers who pick up each release and their associated pretimes.

Private Tracker Invite Trading on the Rise, Thanks to Google Wave Invites

October 07, 2009 by sharky

Move over, trader forums - there’s some stiff competition muscling in for a piece of the action on torrent tracker invite trading. The Internet has gone completely bonkers for Gwave invites, and private trackers are caught in the middle - as seen at the new Google Wave Invites service. While GWI isn’t affiliated with Google or Google Wave whatsoever, Google Wave Invites have taken the ‘net by storm, and tracker invites are - of course - a popular staple of the trades, giveaways and requests. Unquestionably, this has scam written all over it on multiple levels - but try telling that to the traders.

20 New Private Trackers: October 2009 Edition

October 06, 2009 by sharky

Ahh, Autumn - days are getting shorter, leaves are changing colour, and new torrent trackers are starting to sprout up around every corner of the interwebs. It’s time to recollect our latest findings, in which we review 20 new private trackers (amazingly, none of which are adult). Once again, we’ve cranked up our honesty (and sarcasm) - there’s plenty of new torrent sites to write about in this October edition.

TTinvite.com - A New Torrent Invite Forum Opens

October 06, 2009 by sharky

It’s been quite some time since we’ve introduced a new Torrent Forum to the BT scene. Is this because new ones aren’t being started up? Not exactly - there are a few new underground forums that we’re not just not able to mention here at FSF. But not so with TTinvite.com - a new BitTorrent discussion & invites board that’s currently open for registration. And we’re even allowed to review it!

Gazelle Article 3: Anonymous Links, Ticket System, and a Freeleech Tool

October 05, 2009 by MFSL

We’re back with Part 3 of our exclusive series on how to install Gazelle. In this article, we explain how to add a script to anonymize all outgoing links through anonym.to. Also up, we show how to incorporate a ticket system so that beta testers and members can report site bugs and provide feedback. Last - but not least - we explain how to add a global freeleech to the tracker with the ability to enable/disable it through the Gazelle Toolbox utility.

P2P.IN - a New IRC PreDB Network to Track Torrent Races, Pre Announces & Releases

October 03, 2009 by sharky

Want to find out which private trackers have the best pretimes? Looking for a particular scene release to see if it’s been pre’d? This, and a whole lot more can be found on P2P.IN - a new Pre Database IRC network; featuring channels such as #pre (for pre announces), #tracers (for torrent races), #search and others. P2P.IN’s IRC pre’s contain some unique addons which aren’t found in any other IRC networks (which we’ll explain) - plus, a web-based version is slated to be released soon which is set to even include tracer stats "live" on the ‘net. Definitely worth bookmarking!

Vizz.tv Selling Access, Accounts to New TV Tracker

October 02, 2009 by sharky

Well, there’s P2L and then there’s this. The creators of Bitt.tv have shut down the site due to lack of donations in favor of a different model that charges $24 USD for a yearly subscription to their new ratio-free TV tracker at http://vizz.tv. So instead of running a top-notch torrent tracker (which they obviously failed at) where members will gladly donate, why not charge a one-time flat fee just so members can gain entrance? - without even offering a single iota of detail about what’s behind the $24 curtain. Talk about taking the ‘free’ out of BitTorrent - here’s the message staff sent out today to existing members of Bitt.tv:

HD Tracker ‘SceneX’ Open For Registration

October 01, 2009 by sharky

If we were challenged to select from one category of private tracker that’s experiencing the highest growth potential, we’d have to conclude it to be high definition (HD) trackers. With ever-increasing PC storage capacity, seedbox usage, cheaper BD-REs, and multimedia stations connected via PC-to-TV — HD torrents are quickly becoming the norm. Which brings us to SceneX, a tracker devoted to nothing but HD content. SceneX - a notably ‘closed’ site, is currently open registration for the next 24 hours - no IRC hurdles; no recruitment - simply sign up and enjoy!

Popular JPopsuki Tracker Makes Return on Gazelle

September 30, 2009 by sharky

JPopsuki, an enormously successful torrent tracker for J-Pop music and videos for the past four years, has returned as version 2.0. Considered by many as the best site for J-Pop torrents, JPopsuki recently switched over to Gazelle and has taken off like a bullet. In less than three weeks, registered members tally in at a whopping 16K with nearly 6,000 total torrents already added. Registration is currently still open, but it’s been mentioned by staff that this won’t last forever.

ScL Open For Signups For 24 Hours (Now Closed)

September 28, 2009 by sharky

Quick news: We’re probably not supposed to publish ScL’s URL or name, so we won’t. Either you know what ScL is, or you don’t. In any event, for the first time that we’ve ever seen, they’re offering open registration for the next 24 hours, beginning earlier today. Here’s your chance to get into one of the top-rated 0day/scene trackers:

http://*********.net/signup.php

UPDATE: Oct. 2nd @ 05:15 EDT - “Open Sign-Ups are closed now!”

Demonoid Set to Return, But With Heavy Losses

September 27, 2009 by sharky

Offline for almost two weeks now and counting, many Demonoid users feared the worst: here we go again. After a lengthy 6-month absence from November 2007 to April 2008 - Demonoid rebounded well, and dutifully reclaimed the top spot among private trackers (if you can classify them as private). Inarguably one of the Internet’s most prosperous & prolific trackers of all-time, Demonoid is poised to make their return, albeit - the news is bleak.

Gazelle Article 2: Invites, Minor Edits and Small Add-ons

September 26, 2009 by MFSL

In this second article on how to install Gazelle, we’ll explain how to implement Invite Codes, configure the Donations, and BT client Whitelists. These last few days I’ve done a few minor edits in and around the code and did one small change to the invite system. Also, our twitter feed for the yet-to-be-announced tracker is running at http://twitter.com/SVTracker/. Invites codes and more fun stuff will be posted!

TorrentDay - Another Scene-Only Tracker Opens

September 25, 2009 by sharky

Hot on the heels of StoreThe.net is another 0day/scene tracker that’s sure to impress. TorrentDay.com which has been online for less than two weeks, is piling up the content fast; already listing more than 1,400 torrents. This TBDev tracker features scene-only content with applaudable pretimes, and better yet - everything is hosted on seedboxes (we checked). Registration is currently open.

Gazelle Article One: Server Config / Gazelle Install

September 24, 2009 by MFSL

Ed. Note: A good friend of ours is in the process of setting up a new Gazelle music tracker, and generously offered his expertise. What’s different about this series of tutorials, is that there will actually be an operational tracker at the end of it. So if you ever wanted to witness the inner workings on how to install, setup & configure a Gazelle tracker from scratch, then this series is for you. Let the documentation begin!

StoreThe.net - A New 0day Scene Only Tracker

September 23, 2009 by sharky

How often is it that FSF introduces a brand-new tracker to the masses, only to disappoint our readers? Oh, right - it happens more than we’d care to admit (duds like SkullnBones and BSC which started out promising but fizzled fast). Angst aside, that’s what we do best: post new trackers. You win some, you lose some …you get it. But we think you’ll win with this new true 0day tracker StoreThe.net which already boasts 3,000+ 11,500+ torrents, complete with a killer unique request system unseen anywhere else.

ScienceHD, The Science Tracker now Open For Signups

September 22, 2009 by sharky
