The Top 50 Most Requested Tracker Invites of 2010 (Part Two)

November 01, 2010 by sharky

This is Part II of the Most Popular Private Tracker Invite Requests of 2010. From the first 25, there are only 3 trackers that were not listed at least somewhere within the top 50. From the these last 25, almost half are brand-new entries for 2010. Since we publish this "Top 50" series quite late in the year, it gives newer trackers a fair chance to be listed. That is, if they aren’t open for registration most of the time. Having said that, here are a few interesting statistics from the entire 50:

The Top 50 Most Requested Tracker Invites of 2010 (Part One)

October 29, 2010 by sharky

Due to popular request, it’s that time of the year again when FSF takes a peek into the year’s most requested private tracker invitations. We uncovered some surprising statistics - FtN is no longer on top, plus we have 15 new entries to this 2010 edition (3 in Part One; 12 in Part Two).

FSF made a best effort here to provide data as accurate as humanly possible, with no bias towards one forum or another. We simply counted requests (and filled ones) as best as we could do. Forums included in the statistics are listed below.

ThePirateSociety Is Back on a New Domain, New Server

October 17, 2010 by sharky

After dozens of emails asking us, "What happened to ThePirateSociety?" - we’ve just now received the official word from the proud new owner. Sorry folks, there’s not a lot of juicy gossip in this one, but what’s very clear is that TPS has indeed returned true to form - minus a few staff members. Since being offline for nearly two full weeks now, what exactly transpired between October 5th and October 16th? For starters - a new domain, new server, new (and old) staff. But what’s really important is the site, its contents, the user database - these have all been rescued from what would have been a total loss if it weren’t for quick action on the part of TPS’s new proprietor. FSF spoke with the new owner - bubbl3 - who shed some interesting light as to how & why these events unfolded. Plus we have the exclusive info regarding TPS’s official announcement.

An Invite to Join Etiv.in - Tracker Discussion & Invite Forum

October 16, 2010 by sharky

In the competitive world of torrent forums to which the ‘net is grossly overburdened with these days, it almost seems foolish that any tracker discussion board would restrict the influx of new members. Many forums are indifferent to who signs up; others are wisely a touch more selective. Etiv.in is one such community that prides itself on quality over quantity, and they simply don’t offer much in the way of open registration. Never has, never will - simply put, Etiv has essentially remained a closed-community throughout the past ten months.

This story has a happy ending, though - it took yours truly a little bit of coaxing (and a 6-pack) to get Etiv to open the gates for the first time in more than a year. Rare it is that an opportunity should arise such as this, and just in time for Halloween - although it won’t last long. FSF managed to secure an exclusive offer: open registration to Etiv through a special signup link, available to the first 200 FSF readers:

Torrent Forums Merge: Tracker-Invites.us Allies With TrackeReactor

July 21, 2010 by sharky

Big news from the filesharing subculture of torrent invite forums, Tracker-Invites.us has formed an alliance with TrackeReactor.com. Due to the competitive nature and internal rivalry between most torrent forums, rarely would an event such as this occur. This breathes some fresh life into TR - one of the Net’s longest-running torrent boards. FSF spoke to staff at TrackeReactor to get the inside scoop on the unfolding events.

TorrentInvite - Tracker Forum Now Open for Registration

July 17, 2010 by sharky

If memory serves correct, it’s been ages since TorrentInvite.com publicly announced an open registration to acquire new members for an extended period of time. Quite possibly when it did occur last was through a special FSF promotional article way back in June 2009. For those who caught that old post, a lot has changed over at T.I. since then. We’re talking about some amazing unique upgrades & new enhancements which can’t be found on any other board - details which we’ll get to. FSF has been informed that aspiring members can currently join TorrentInvite directly, but it won’t last long.

RatioProof.us - A New Tracker Board Now ‘Open Reg’

March 04, 2010 by sharky

Just a quick shout to all you tracker invite fans looking for a fresh start at a new home. RatioProof.us (aka FLUX/FeelTheFlow) is the latest tracker discussion & invites forum to pop up on the ‘net. Invites to FLUX were originally intended to be only available through an application process via email, FLUX has recently opened up registration for anyone looking to sign up.

SharingTheNet (The Original StN) Accepting Applications

February 22, 2010 by sharky

No, this article isn’t about a P2L tracker. Those of you who’ve been around the private tracker scene long enough probably remember the original StN (sharing-the.net), a tracker discussion forum that went underground nearly a year ago. Comparable to other secretive (some will say "elite") BT communities that you may or may not have heard about (CFS, Panda, I-C/Indigo), StN - though small - is very much alive and rife with activity, and now accepting applications.

BTRealm Torrent Community, Open For Signups

January 15, 2010 by sharky

In foresight it’s not always easy to gauge whether or not a new BitTorrent discussion (& invite) community will do well, considering the fierce competition from already well-established forums. Thus when a new torrent forum launches, they’re going to need to come up with three key criteria in order to be successful: active members, unique features and experienced staff. Fortunately for BTRealm.net, they possess all three. And unlike other recent startups, BTRealm is directly open for anyone who wants to register - that’s right; no IRC recruitment, no application form, no mandatory introduction post, no profile links or silly speedtests. Registration is scheduled to be open until the end of January.

Interviews for Etiv.in (Invite Forum) Now Open

December 28, 2009 by sharky

Etiv.in is one of those torrent invite forums that essentially remains mostly a closed-system. Rarely does Etiv have registration open directly (just twice in their site history; both times were related to FSF articles). Nor do they have a perpetually-open IRC #invite channel for aspiring members to apply - the last time this occurred was back in October for just two short days. From now until January 1st, Etiv has opened a special #christmas-interview channel - now’s your chance to get into one of the ‘nets premier torrent forums.

DKF - A New Torrent Forum, Now Accepting Applicants

December 24, 2009 by sharky

We can’t give out much information about DKF (aka - The DarK Factory) aside from they’re a new tracker invites & discussion forum. Online for just over a month now, DKF has plenty of activity (threads: 374, posts: 4,179) - all from just 60 experienced members. Don’t expect DKF to open up for public registration anytime soon - either you’ll need to be invited directly, or else apply through their IRC channel.

October 28, 2009 by sharky

Here at FSF, we’re always on the lookout for the newest tracker invite sites. Let us introduce the latest torrent forum to launch - inviteTheScene.

The Top 50 Most Requested Tracker Invites of 2009

October 19, 2009 by sharky

After receiving countless requests for an updated version of our Top 50 Most Requested Private Tracker Invites article, we’ve finally gotten around to crunching the numbers once again. In comparison to last December’s statistics, the results are astonishingly quite different this time around. There are dozens of new popular trackers, defunct trackers, IRC applications, new torrent forums & more experienced private torrenters than ever before; collectively, all of these factors (and more) account for the difference in request popularity. Just like last year, it should be no surprise as to who holds the No.1 spot.

TTinvite.com - A New Torrent Invite Forum Opens

October 06, 2009 by sharky

It’s been quite some time since we’ve introduced a new Torrent Forum to the BT scene. Is this because new ones aren’t being started up? Not exactly - there are a few new underground forums that we’re not just not able to mention here at FSF. But not so with TTinvite.com - a new BitTorrent discussion & invites board that’s currently open for registration. And we’re even allowed to review it!

The End is Near For TrackerChecker.org?

September 06, 2009 by sharky

TrackerChecker.org, a top-notch website that tirelessly updates private torrent trackers that are open for registration, could be slated for closure. Launched back in April 2008, it would now appear that the site could disappear soon. Tracker signups haven’t been updated for nearly three days - usually this is every 6 minutes or less - which suggests that this great service is coming to an end - only time will tell.

Update: TrackerChecker is now offline.

New Forum BittClub.org Open For Signups

August 16, 2009 by sharky

Call this our unofficial tracker invites weekend. BittClub.org isn’t exactly a new P2P forum, but has only recently begun to hit their stride. Beginning in late April, little-known BittClub offers the usual fare: tracker invites, discussion and everything else that has to do with the torrent community. We’re bending one of their rules here - "BittClub" isn’t supposed to be mentioned publicly, as they prefer only to be referred to as BTC.

TakeMe - A New Site for Tracker Chat and Invites

August 15, 2009 by sharky

As promised, here’s another tracker invite forum that is currently open for registration. Take The Invite (aka TakeMe) is a brand-new torrent board that launched just three days ago, yet shows signs of promise. While most of the board is off limits to non-members, there are some public areas so you’ll be able to preview it before signing up.

ETIV Reopens Registration For the Next 24 Hours

August 14, 2009 by sharky

This weekend, we’ve got an impressive array of torrent forum info to catch you up on, starting with Etiv.in. Etiv began life merely two months ago, yet has quickly blossomed into one of the Internet’s hotspots for tracker invites & discussion. After we announced their humble beginning, Etiv quickly closed public registration after just a few short days, and hasn’t been open since - until now. Missed the boat? Here’s your chance to get in, using this special FSF signup link that’s only going to be open for the next 24 hours.

Featured Forum: SceneInvites Open For Registration

August 11, 2009 by sharky

There are two brand-new torrent forums that have recently opened up shop - the first one under review is SceneInvites.info. At just barely a week old, ScI already lists an impressive 118 members and 1,620 posts - not bad for a fledgling board. Forum ideas are well-thought out: there’s already a list of no-movement sites, and a good selection of tutorials.

Featured Forum: PTInvites.com Open For Registration

June 28, 2009 by sharky

Looking for a fresh torrent forum serving up invites? PTInvites.com is a lesser-known private tracker invite forum that’s managed to keep a low profile. Starting up as early as last August, PTI began very privately but only this year has taken strides to increase the membership - which now stands at 738 - not bad for a torrent forum that no one’s even heard about. Registration is currently open.
