The Swarm, a new Gazelle-based multi-format film tracker, is actually still in a late beta phase but already incorporates some very impressive features. Dual-option parsing, combined with a unique autofill and literally thousands of pre-cached indexed movie pages are just a few of the ideas Swarm brings to the table. Great news for scene freaks: SeX (SceneXpress) is currently and unconditionally open for registration for the next 5 days, starting immediately. That’s right: no interviews, no IRC recruitment, no scavenging for an invite. Officially out of beta for about two weeks now, SeX v1.0 brings about many new exciting changes to this scene tracker which we’ll cover in detail below. This time around we’re even permitted to include screenshots of the tracker in action.

BitTorrent’s most notorious mobile & phone tracker SyncTheBits has officially been relaunched with a fresh new look featuring the Gazelle sourcecode. The migration to Gazelle has been in the works for at least six months - and to welcome in the new codebase StB has opened the doors. After chatting with the founder of StB, a recent ‘open signup’ campaign was intended to only permit 150 new members - but we’ve now been assured that registration will continue to be open for the next 48 hours, at least.
Just when it appeared that the SceneLife crew were really on a positive roll with their latest creation "The X", a DB failure sent them back at least two weeks. This unfortunate mishap wiped out literally thousands of new users when signups opened and FSF was forced to eat our words when we suggested that they’d probably never have ‘open registration’. Well, the proverbial cat’s out of the bag, so to speak - the URL is not much a secret anymore (although we’ll still refer to them herein as "X"); even screenshots & reviews can be found floating around. Then again; why not just sign up for yourself - "The X" will be open for registration for the next 5 days, so we’ve been told directly by one of their sysops.
Just a quick shoutout to TV freaks looking to join BitTorrent’s hottest ratioless tracker - BTN has now re-opened their IRC interview channel to those looking to apply. After a temporary (but lengthy) removal of members’ invites and shutdown of IRC recruitment, both have now been restored. Here’s your chance to get into one of the most innovative accomplishments ever put forth by a tracker dev team - this is definitely an opportunity not to be overlooked.

Surely the easiest way to get into a private tracker is just to wait for registration to open. While this isn’t always an option, especially for closed-communities, the second-easiest method would be to simply buy your way in the door. After researching virtually every tracker out there, we uncovered a surprisingly large list of private trackers that sell direct access; that is, sell their own invites under the guise of a donation. Incredibly, some trackers want as much as 25€ (Euro) for a single invitation.
