NewSceneFiles - A New Pre-to-DDL Service

October 13, 2009 by sharky

Fanboys of SceneDDL and xldr.net now have another option for finding fresh scene releases, and that’s at NewSceneFiles.net. NewSceneFiles is a new autopost service that provides one of the fastest turnarounds on Pre’s to direct download links. In less than 6 weeks since launching, NewSceneFiles already lists an impressive 3,300+ releases, for an average of about 80 new releases each day.

NewSceneFiles has actually been around since the beginning of September, and mostly focuses on movies (DVDRips, R5s, Screeners) & TV rips (XviD & x264), although a few other site categories exist as well. For now, we’ve noticed that only RapidShare (and now Hotfile) links are supported.

NewSceneFiles Info:

The service is completely automated and additional screenshots & release info are not available as seen on traditional Scene Blogs. However, NSF makes up for it in thoroughness, content delivery and sheer speed. In fact, we checked out a few recent releases and NSF often even tends to beat out BitMeTV as seen below. For this, you’ll need to check pretimes as shown through their RSS feed.

Pros:

  • • No need to ‘click in’ to view download links, or read user comments for links.
  • • No ratios to maintain (after all, it’s a DDL service - not a tracker).
  • • Anonymous downloads; no passwords in the links.
  • • More content. Scene blogs & trackers tend to index mostly popular releases. NSF offers a more complete scene listing, including obscure content not seen elsewhere.

Cons:

  • • For RapidShare links, you’ll need a premium account to take full advantage of the service.
  • • No added bonuses, such as screen captures or editorial comments. Just the release name, and related links only.

SceneDDL / xldr News:

October 10th — The beta.xldr.net service has temporarily been shelved for the time being, although all releases through both xldr and SceneDDL can be found on archive at http://archive.xldr.net. Their extraordinary archive actively lists 45,303 total releases combined through both services spanning across the past 12 months.
