Looking for a huge repository of BitTorrent trackers? Sure, you could just browse around here at FSF - but if you want additional extended info such as tracker genre, country & supported language - all displayed on the same page - TorrentKing.org is the place. There’s also direct links to RSS feeds & tracker IRC channels - for both public and private trackers alike. TK is dedicated to providing the most comprehensive listing of BT trackers anywhere, with detailed and categorized information about each one.
The King of Torrent Sites has undergone a major overhaul as of late, and cleaned up the dead trackers and added a slew of new ones to go along with a sleek new look and added features. TorrentKing is not just about displaying BT sites; but is it’s own community in every right, with a user rating system & user-submitted comments on individual trackers. Here’s a look at the "More Info" link to a typical TK listing:
Other Notable Features:
Combined Filtering — In addition to being able to browse trackers by category (music, sports) and by language (country), these two criteria can be combined to filter the results even further. Say, for example, you want to display a list of Romanian music tracker. Click on "Music" from the ‘Select Category’ section, and then click "Romanian" from the ‘Select Language’ area to the right. Now, only Romanian Music trackers will be shown:
Submitting New Trackers — Know of a site that’s not listed at TK, or simply want to promote your own tracker? Use the Submit Tracker feature. You’ll be able to add RSS, IRC…even a site banner and custom description!
Latest Trackers — Use the Latest tracker feature to display the 50 most recent additions to TK, last 50 tracker updates, and the last 25 user comments.
Stats — Way down hidden at the bottom right corner at TK is a Stats link. Not only are you able to view the number of listed trackers in relation to languages and categories, but there’s a neat "dead trackers" link. These ‘dead’ trackers are not listed anywhere else on the site, making it resourceful for those who want to know if a tracker is still "live" or long gone. For those who are sticklers to detail, TK actually boasts over 1,200 trackers, although 363 of them are currently dead (and, taking a look, not likely to come back).
NOTE: In "Stats", the "Rss Links - show" feature displays all of TK’s tracker RSS feeds on a single page (with the option of viewing in native RSS or XML formats):
All in all, TorrentKing.org is a great torrent portal for the discovery of (and advanced info) for both public and private trackers alike. Information is kept up-to-date, and viewers are not inundated with full-page adverts. Highly recommended!
