PureTNA Adult Tracker Surpasses 1 Million Members

November 17, 2008 by sharky

Love ‘em or hate ‘em, adult private trackers are home to some of the most popular torrents sites in existence. Proving this success is PureTNA.com, which has recently eclipsed the 1 million member milestone; positioning it in the #4 spot for Alexa traffic rank among all private trackers. Only Torrents.ru, Demonoid and Zamunda claim higher rankings, while the #5 spot belongs to Empornium - another adult tracker. We interviewed "Breeze" from PureTNA, who openly discusses some interesting stats & history of this popular site.

An Interview with PureTNA

FSF: Congrats for surpassing 1 million members. Empornium is another huge adult tracker that’s hot on your heels, in terms of number of members. Is this the first time you’ve been able to eclipse that milestone? Additionally, who in your opinion has the most members of all?

Breeze @ PureTNA: As far as I know PureTNA and Empornium are the largest private trackers, both sites have passed the 1,000,000 mark in the past, but both have recently had inactive accounts pruned, this is only done occasionally, but as they have both been done very recently the current figures are very accurate.

FSF: Can you give us a brief history on PureTNA?

Breeze: Sure. The first dedicated porn tracker to ever open was www.empornium.us. (Ten months later), PureTna opened in July, 2004 when Empornium closed signups at 60,000 members.

FSF: We’ve noticed that both PureTNA and Empornium seem to almost always have open signups nowadays…

Breeze: Both sites currently maintain open signups except for when technical "challenges" prevent it.

FSF: Members come from all over the world - are any countries on PureTNA’s "blocklist"?

Breeze: No, we do not currently block any countries from accessing the site or tracker.

FSF: PureTNA has always been an easy tracker to seed on, even so with a home PC. We’ve noticed that there aren’t any "hard" rules for minimum ratio requirements. What gives?

Breeze: We do have minimum ratio requirements, but in general they are not as draconian as many private trackers, but you’ll need at least a 1:1 ratio to be considered for promotion in user class.

FSF: If signups are constantly open, doesn’t this negate some of the "privateness" associated with other closed-community private trackers?

Breeze: It would be fair to say that while we most definitely are a private site, the permanently open signups situation does give us some characteristics more akin to public trackers.

FSF: Thanks for the info. We wish you continued success at PureTNA.

Breeze: Cheers.
