With the completely unsuccessful launch of the first FSF Tracker Watch - which nobody saw - we’re more than proud to relive the same pain over again. Here’s even more useless information, torrent news and brand-new trackers to the BT scene.
TV.Torrents.ro is Back!!
After being down for an unknown reason for well over 3 weeks, Tv.torrents.ro is back in action! An explanation has not been given, but who cares - those red arrows in µTorrent have switched back to green again!
What.cd - 306,000 Torrents
In just 4 short months since What.cd hit the 200,000 torrent milestone, incredibly they’ve been able to add another 100K to the ever-growing total. If there was ever any doubt as to whether or not What.cd has more torrents than OiNK did at its peak, this should lay it to rest. The screenshot on the right is the last known image stats for OiNK (from Sept. 22/07), although just prior to being shut down the numbers were slightly higher at around 220,000 torrents and 190,000 users.
If this growth trend continues, it’s feasible that they’ll be able to hit the 500,000 unique torrent mark before the beginning of next summer.
NTorrents.net Set to Open Signups This Friday
NTorrents is a tracker dedicated to everything Nintendo (Wii, DS, Gamecube, etc) with just over 1,900 torrents. They will be opening the registration process on Fri Nov. 14 for 72 hours or until they hit 15,000 users. Currently there’s around 12K users, so that leaves about 3K spots open.
‘The Pirate Society’ Closes Public Registration
ThePirateSociety, one of the best torrent forums on the planet, is now closed to public registrations. If you’re not already a member, you can still apply through their IRC channel on irc.p2p-network.net @ #thepiratesociety-invites, or just click the link below:

ScL Makes Some Changes
ScL has made their music section permanent freeleech, and added a slew of new music categories for easier browsing.
O, Tv.Torrents.ro, Where Art Thou?
Well there’s still no official news on what’s going on with Tv.torrents.ro, my favourite TV tracker next to BitMeTV. I guess I have to shelve that pending article "BitMeTV versus Tv.Torrents.ro". Also, I managed to wrangle up an invitation to tvtorrents.com, but the layout there absolutely blows.
Pretorrents Hacked, Things are Back to Normal
Pretorrents, a brand-newish scene/general tracker with 865 torrents, was hacked last Thursday, but all is restored with the site. Members received a somewhat jovial email from the hacker, which appeared like this:
The translation of the Portuguese part is, "I took the liberty to share once again your DB to MPAA, RIAA, Microsoft and of course Portuguese PJ (Police)."
New Trackers to the BitTorrent Scene
www.irishtorrents.com — New tracker for Irish content, including TV shows, sports, movies, documentaries and music. It uses Gazelle as the codebase, and currently lists 670 torrents, and has nearly 1,300 users.
www.uhdera.org — Newer (Chinese/Eng) tracker for Blu-Ray releases. These aren’t *.MKV files or re-encodes, they’re the native Blu-Ray ripped files (in the directory format /BDMV/) with original *.mpls and *.clpi. It goes without saying - the torrents are huge.
www.classiccinemazone.com — Classic Cinema Zone is a tracker for older movies & classics - currently lists over 360 torrents. It should be noted that many of the older torrents are external.
www.nietono.com — A very promising new tracker for anime. There’s some great content here, including some large packs for complete sets (FullMetal Alchemist, Gundam Seed, etc). Currently, there’s 206 active torrents.
www.bootytape.com — Newer adult tracker with 90 torrents.
mmatracker.ru — Russian tracker with 242 torrents for MMA, Boxing & UFC stuff. There’s also some huge packs, including Mohammed Ali (38 fights), and UFC/PRIDE selections.
www.humour-me.org — Not new, but they’ve added a ton of new torrents in the last while, and now boasts over 530. Humour-Me (Torrent Kids) is a tracker that features children’s content (not cartoons), for TV and educational stuff, including over 170 kids movies.
Down Trackers
Secret-Cinema.net — Down for the last three days. The URL works, but it appears that the database/tracker has been removed.
Pornozone.org — Now you see it, now you don’t. In the last article, we introduced this brand-new adult tracker to the scene, and after merely three days of existence, it’s dropped off the face of the planet. That has to be the fastest emergence and closure in BitTorrent history. I guess it’s safe to remove my two seeding torrents in µTorrent.
magiciantorrents.com — Just when it seemed they’d ironed out all the issues and had a relaunch, problems continue for this magic tracker.
