After placemarking our own piece of real estate on Twitter about a year ago, we finally decided to start using it. Why so late? Not really sure, but after noticing that even Paris Hilton has her own Twitter page (be damned if we’d link to it) - we thought we’d probably be able to do a little better. After all, we won’t tweet when getting a pedicure or purchasing a new diamond-studded satchel. However, we might hook you up with some cool private tracker info; above and beyond our regularly published crap.
If you’ve been a long-time follower of FSF, you may remember an old segment we used to run called "Bits & Bytes" where we’d update smaller private tracker entries that really weren’t noteworthy for a full-page article. While we loved that little section, it was nightmarish to maintain regularly. Twitter gives us the ability to add torrent news quickly, without having to write a large post.
Unlike most Twitter pages, we aren’t just filling ours with the latest FileShareFreak posts. After all, isn’t that what an RSS feed is for? Instead, we’re going to be throwing in some surprises - such as invite codes to private trackers; quicklinks to trackers with open signups; and new trackers to the scene.
We have a blog. And we have Twitter. And it’s about time.
