International Torrent Forums - A Look Inside

March 29, 2009 by sharky

Whether you’re looking to discover the latest private trackers, read the latest torrent news, or even find invites - there’s a world of information to be found on international torrent tracker discussion boards. Here we review 12 different sites; including forum.torrents.ro, TorrentMania, TorrentInvite.net & BV-List.

forum.torrents.ro (Romanian)

Forum.torrents.ro is Romania’s premier torrent discussion board. Most new Romanian trackers are announced here - found in the Trackere noi thread. Tracker invites can be found in the Bursa de invitatii area, but you’ll first need to register on the board before it becomes available. Note: As with most sites - once logged in, the Google Translate service will not work.

  • — Registration required? - No, but some areas are hidden from non-members.
  • — Tracker Reviews? - Yes (just 17)
  • — Invites giveaways/requests? - Yes (must be logged in to view)
  • — Trading? - Not found.

www.torrentmania.info (Polish)

TorrentMania.info is a very popular Polish P2P & Torrent discussion board; also one of the oldest in existence. Tracker invites at TM (found in the Zaproszenia Torrent section) are done a little differently here - the stickied invitations are guaranteed, but the stipulation here is that members first need to fulfill a required minimum postcount. Other giveaways are done in traditional fashion - just read the special requirements for each. TorrentMania also offers:

  • • BitTorrent tracker source code chat & support (TBDev, BTiT, TorrentStrike).
  • • Seedbox reviews and assistance.
  • • Invite giveaways, including Tracker Bonus giveaways.
  • • Other P2P discussion (eD2k, Gnutella, DC++, and other protocols)

Registration to TM is currently open to all. Google Translate hotlink (Polish > English) — found here.

http://torrentinvite.org (Polish)

You’ll first need to register and log in to view the TorrentInvite.org forums. Invites are broken down into individual tracker threads, and there’s a healthy selection of tracker reviews (163) in the Opisy trackerów section. The English forum section is absolutely deserted, we should note.

Signup URL can be found here.

www.bvlist.com (English)

First & foremost, BravoList is a forum inclined towards tracker code and development, but also carries a decent invites section. If you’re looking to start up your own private tracker, this site is a must-see! The "Sell-Buy Designs & Coding Jobs" section offers customized TBDev skins; even complete trackers for sale.

Their Download section offers complete tracker sources (code), as well as hacks/fixes and tracker mods, themes & skins. Available sources & assistance include TBDev, Gazelle, Torrent Trader, Yuna Scatari, Brightswitch, phpMyBitTorrent, xBTiT, Torrent Strike, TemplateShares - among others. Registration to BVList is currently open.

http://www.bittorrentportal.hu (Hungarian)

Bittorrent Portál is an all-purpose Hungarian torrent forum - strongpoints include a variety of tracker reviews found in the Szavazások section. There’s also a popular invites section (located at the bottom of the forum). Hungarian trackers have their own discussion threads (Ncore, Darkside, etc) - in addition to general tracker topics in the Tracker oldalak section.

Google Translate hotlink (Hungarian > English) — found here.

www.piratgruppen.org/forum (Danish)

You won’t find any invites being requested at PiratGruppen - it’s more oriented to invite trading, as opposed to requests & giveaways. To quote a staff member, "It is not allowed to ask for invitations to BitTorrent trackers on Pirate Group forum. We have an invite thread in which people distribute and exchange invitations to various trackers."

Aside from blatantly being self-described as an invite trading forum, PG is inclined towards anti-censorship and a pro-piracy stance. PG also offers some great guides in their Wiki for P2P, BitTorrent and media-related tutorials.

www.torrentinvites.se (Swedish)

You may want to be careful about being involved with this one, torrentinvites.se is notorious for being an invite trading forum. While signups are open, new accounts need to be manually verified & confirmed before new users are able to login.

Google Translate hotlink (Swedish > English) — found here.

http://utorrent.hu (Hungarian)

uTorrent.hu is both a forum and a web interface that lists over 100 Hungarian trackers. Signing up to the forums is a little tricky - new users must register, then click the Befejezés link. After which, a confirmation email will be sent. Most of the forum content is dedicated to µTorrent-related issues, although there is also a section for various torrent trackers found in the Minden más area - most of which are Hungarian.

www.p2pforum.it/forum/ (Italian)

www.p2pforum.it is a general P2P filesharing forum for BitTorrent, WinMX, IRC, eMule, LimeWire and every other P2P protocol imaginable. P2PForum.it is publicly open to all, but registration is required in order to post. You won’t be finding any tracker invites being offered; however, it’s a great place to find help for just about all facets of filesharing.

Signup tips: Use the Google Translate service, as there’s an anti-bot feature on the signup page.

http://torrentinvite.fr (French)

At last check, TorrentInvite.fr was invite-only. There’s a donate button on the site, but whether or not this will allow automatic access, we could only speculate. TI.fr has an IRC channel which can be found here:

irc://irc.p2p-network.net/ti.inscriptions

If you’re already a member of TI.fr, you’re probably already aware of these popular forum areas:

http://arab-invites.com (Arabic)

Arab-invites.com is a brand-new torrent invite forum that started up in May, 2009.

http://torrentinvite.net (English)

TorrentInvite.net has been around for awhile, and has evolved into a trader’s destination only. Sadly, there are even threads involved in the direct selling of accounts. Looking to get scammed? You’ve found the right place! TI.net is similar to the ScrapeTorrent forums, where accounts & invites are also sold and traded quite frequently. None of which is good for anyone…

www.polishinvite.info (Polish)

Don’t know much about PolishInvite.info but at last check, registration was open.
