It goes without saying, most private trackers carry an impressive selection of games, but some BitTorrent sites are absolute game specialists. Whether it’s PC, Mac, console or emulator games you seek, there’s probably a private BitTorrent site for it. Here are just some of the trackers available out there, and what they have to offer:

— OPEN? - NO.Members: 50,000.Ratio: varies.# of Torrents: ~40,000.Features: It goes without saying: Blackcats-Games is all about the games - be it console, Windows or Linux releases. Registered users hover in at around 50,000 (they stopped taking new signups back in November, 2007). With a 2,100% seed/leech ratio, downloads are assuredly zippy from their 6,000 offered torrents. Most will agree that BG is the best tracker for games - period.

Categories include every console imaginable - PS2, XBOX, Wii, PSP, PS3, NGC, NGA - with a good helping of PC and Mac games thrown in for good measure! Presently closed, however; BG opens regularly for new signups. The promotion for user classes is fairly lax - 2 weeks with the tracker and 1 GB down with a 0.3 ratio is all you need to move up in class (see ‘classes’ below).

Features NTSC, PAL, USA, JPN, Asia and ‘region free’ games, with a mix of Xbox appz, emulators and miscellaneous stuff. Site is often full, but opens frequently for new signups, so check back often. Users can find a ton of information in their busy forums, and there’s a "review" column beside every torrent for member comments.
