Some private BitTorrent sites are so secretive that members need to click hidden links to login; others run covertly behind a false ‘frontpage’ under the pretense of offering a legitimate service. Many of these trackers would be considered ‘closed communities’ and don’t have an active ‘invite system’, so it’s a futile effort for most torrenters to gain access. This is anything but an exhaustive list - there’s bound to be others and likely more that very few people even know about.
Out of admiration and respect for these private trackers, we’ve omitted any URLs that can lead to unwanted exposure. Due to their secretive nature, data, screenshots & statistics are provided "as-is" and may not be current.
iFi
— Max. Members: 1,000.# of Torrents: ~300.About: As with most top level sites, any mentioning of the URL or full name is forbidden. They use a false login screen as the frontpage for the tracker, which (believe me) is enough to throw anyone off the scent. iFi is a new tracker primarily for music/movies/TV that doesn’t have use a ratio scheme, however you’ll need to seed back. With a minuscule max. user count of 1,000, it’s a tough cookie to get into.

ScL
— Members: 3,000 limit.# of Torrents: ~1,500.About: Also known as "The Flower" or "The Clover" to its users. ScL offers site promos fairly often and has some amazing packs for offer (which are always freeleech). D/L speeds aren’t quite as fast as some of the bigger trackers (ScT, TL etc.) due to the small usercount. Unseen on any other tracker, they have a fluctuating up/down ratio on all torrents. Users should look to the ‘Archives’ section (all freeleech) since ScL is probably the most difficult tracker to seed at.

FTN
— Members: 6,000 limit.# of Torrents: 7,000+.About: FTN is one of those top 0-Day trackers that everyone dreams to get into. They’ve got some great ’scene’ connections, which is confirmed in their amazing pre-times. Presently, invites are permanently closed (as are signups) and FTN remains a closed community. Membership is highly-coveted; it’s regarded as the private account to have - it’s tops on the wish list for most torrenters.
FTN also offers a great selection of ‘packs’ - some of which are in the 100’s of GBs each (superpacks - some of which contain entire "release group" collections). There’s no ratio system on FTN but users are required to seed for at least 36 hours.

FTWR
— Members: under 4,000.# of Torrents: ~6,000?.About: Known as ‘The Rabbit’, FTWR is one of the most elusive trackers of them all. This 0Day tracker features just ‘OK’ pre-times as well as excellent speeds, and contains content not found anywhere else. FTWR often has freeleech when 100% of donations are met for the month.

UK-T
— Members: about 5,000.# of Torrents: ~4,000?.Unnamed source says: “UK-T is one of the oldest scene trackers. Originally known as UK-Torrents, the site was shut down in the beginning of 2005 due to an MPAA crackdown. It was then re-opened as an elitist tracker; the new site had only old respected members from the original site. The new site could be compared to Fort Knox, in terms of difficulty to penetrate. Very few invites were ever given out, and ones that were given out were only allocated to trusted members. The site staff is extremely paranoid, when looking at the staff page; none of the staffs’ names are visible to the users. Such harsh security measures (while securing the safety of the site!) have also taken its toll on pre-times. Over the years the site has shifted from a top scene site to a more security based community. This is why this site is so hard for traders to get into."

PtN
— Members: 473/2,000 max. limit.# of Torrents: 833.About: PtN is a movie tracker focused on sharing and downloading so they have instituted a ratio free system that is suited to seeding for longer periods of time to ensure longer seed life. Primarily Xvid, they do allow more than Xvid now, due to members requesting other video formats. Another plus of this tracker is that all users can upload content and have the opportunity to become uploaders should they prove to be active and reliable. The bonus system is the most generous I have seen so far so downloading is not intimidating like it is on some trackers.

FSCE
— Members: 1,000 max. limit.# of Torrents: unknown.About: ‘File Sharing Come Easy’ is an extremely low-key site, and their homepage just says "Soon…". Much of the site’s stats are hidden from members. Rumor has it that the original site (v0.1) is now gone (hence the ’soon…’ message) and the tracker is down, as well. Apparently all this isn’t secretive enough - there’s a version 2 (0.2) of FSCE in the works that will contain original sysops and selected members only - lots of luck getting in once it’s relaunched!

FSC
— Members: ~3,000.# of Torrents: ~2,700?.About: FSC is an 0day tracker with great speeds and nice content. It has over 2,700 active torrents and is considered one of the highest rated among rare trackers. The tracker has many exclusive packs that are available to its members and the staff is considered some of the best in the torrenting realm.
They have a very great system called Share Ratio. This is applied to every member and it’s in an effort to maintain a good ratio. Basically, what Share Ratio does is for every torrent you keep seeding you will be rewarded 0.10 share ratio which will be added to your upload ratio. All you have to do is just leave the torrent connected to upload even without leechers and you’ll establish this credit.
To achieve a 1.0 Share Index, you must stay connected on a torrent for a total of 240 hours. Along with the Share Ratio system which makes the site very unique and heart warming they also offer freeleech on several torrents. It makes it easier to maintain a great ratio on FSC."
PeerPortal
— Members: ~6,000.# of Torrents: ~2,500.About: PP has decent pre-times and speeds. They have a ‘points system’ where just for seeding you get points to go towards upload credit, and also for idling in their irc channel. The PP staff is generous with their ‘invites’ and hand them out regularly to qualifying members.
PP uses a false front on their tracker’s website - see the "Front" image below:
