28 New Private Torrent Trackers: August 2009 Edition

August 06, 2009 by sharky

You gotta love private trackers. The growth of new sites shows no trend in slowing down anytime soon, confirming that BitTorrent is the most widely-accepted and successful P2P protocol of all time. Here are some new startups that are currently open for registration, including 4 new adult trackers and 3 sports trackers. Some are gems, and some are duds - you be the judge.

Adult Trackers:

http://www.velvet-touch.me

Velvet-Touch.me is a new adult tracker that started up in the beginning of July 2009. The site design is great; content is well-organized and easy to browse; and there’s even IRC-idle bonus - the only thing missing are some uploaders (there’s only 70 active torrents). Could be a real contender if only there was more content. TBDev FTW for adult trackers.

http://the-stash.com

The-Stash has been around since the middle of July, but classifies itself as being in "beta" until September 1st (everything is freeleech until then, and all new members receive 10GB upload credit). It’s been announced that they’ll be going "invite only" at that date. Torrent count rolls in at 780, but no mention of how many members (stats are hidden). Content varies between home rips (clips) and scene releases.

http://gay-area.org

The name says it all, folks. If you’re looking for Sylvia Saint or Jesse Jane, you won’t find these babes here.

http://htorrents.com

New HTorrents features homemade (amateur) clips, and already lists 383 active torrents since opening up at the end of June. Although most of the torrents have a ton of seeders, DL speeds were absolutely dismal in our tests.

Sports Trackers:

http://total-sports.tv

Not too many sports trackers start up in mid-winter if they know what’s good for them (unless someone bold enough comes out with a whacky - but temporary - Vancouver 2010 Olympics Winter Games tracker) - and Total-Sports is no exception. Total-Sports hit the summer season on stride back in late June 2009 but currently lists just a paltry 73 torrents. This heavily-modified TBDev tracker is easy on the eyes but a little short on content. All members are permitted to upload new torrents, and all new accounts come with 7.8GB upload credit. Could easily turn into something great, but needs content.

www.tennishaven.com

With TennisTorrents being under maintenance (or down), there leaves only T3nnis.tv and the new TennisHaven tracker for all those grand-slam torrents. Make no mistake: T3nnis has risen to the top of the pack, albeit newcomer TH is a good runner-up with 268 tennis torrents and 1,200+ members. Whether it’s the 2009 season or classic matches you seek, TH has an eclectic array of content in a variety of video formats.

www.wrestlevault.com

WV features torrents about wrestling, UFC & MMA releases. Very slick-looking WrestleVault began back in late June, and lists 65 torrents - but don’t let the low torrent count fool you. Everything here is scene release only, incuding a good assortment of hard-to-find DVDRs. It would appear that everything is seedbox-hosted; good DL speeds can be had even on the 1-seed torrents.

This and That…

http://www.tvsource.org

Re-establishing Nordic trackers into their rightful place in the BT community seems to be all the rage. With freely-available tracker code flying left, right and center - anyone who’s anybody has likely rebounded into one form or another. SoftMP3 didn’t die: they became SceneSound. SweDVDR… well, they became many. V2 of Sweden is here to stay, folks - the hydra lives on (and is now split up into dozens of splinters). You can’t beat tenacity.

Getting back on track, TVSource is a new Swedish TV tracker using SweDVDR’s source code. Starting up in July, it lists 800+ torrents and 2,758 members - and is currently open for registration.

http://360torrents.org

360Torrents originally began as http://360.kicks-ass.org in early July, but recently changed domains. This XBOX-360 games tracker lists 85 torrents and has 640 members.

http://anontrack.org

Anontrack isn’t exactly new - it’s the new location for 7Track.org, a Gazelle general tracker with 1,250 torrents (minus the annoying red theme). At last check, signups are now closed - although an invite can be requested through their IRC channel - irc.anontrack.org/anontrack.

www.torrentmonsters.com

TorrentMonsters is the new digs for Swap-Haven.org, and is currently open for signups. Lists just 144 active torrents so far.

http://definitive-gamers.com

Definitive-Gamers is a new general (not ‘games’) tracker that started up in June, and already boasts an impressive 665 active torrents. Content includes just a few games, but mostly features movies and TV episodes.

http://racethe.net

RaceThe.net - a sharp-looking new all-purpose tracker, is currently open for signups. RTN lists 112 total torrents and 1,200+ members since coming online just a few short days ago - expect big things from the same team that brought us HDME and Velvet-Touch.

https://www.visionfs.org

  • — Category: General (TV?)
  • — Signup URL: here. (not open at last check)

Nothing special going on here at VisionFS, aside from it being an SSL site and https tracker. At last check, it was closed to public registration (at 79 members, so it must be really L33T) with 300 total torrents (most of which are TV releases). Uses the default (and ugly) XBTiT codebase - not customized as of yet, and no chosen logo for the site.

http://www.ripents.com:8080

  • — Category: General
  • — Signup URL: here.

Ripents started out on the right foot, but by the end of July they began to add only external (public) torrents to the site. Not certain why a private tracker would do this, however.

http://the-devils-playground.net

The Devil’s Playground has been around since the end of May, and already lists an impressive 520 torrents. There’s some cool stuff here, too - including music discographies, a bevy of adult torrents, and even movie packs such as "Drug Related Movie Packs 1 & 2" which were shamelessly borrowed from TorrentLeech.

International Trackers:

www.dooddee.com

DoodDee isn’t new - being around since Feb. 2009 - but managed to escape our radar. This immensely popular Thai tracker boasts 28,500 members and nearly 14,000 torrents, including adult releases, music & movies and hard-to-find Thai magazine scans - among everything else. English user? It’s recommended to view/browse with FoxLingo (a language/translation addon).

www.filedot.org

FileDot is a new Romanian/English tracker with 144 active torrents & 415 members. This general site mostly caters to apps, but also has movies & games etc.

http://bluezlord.com

This new Romanian/English TBDev tracker is mainly about music, with a few movies thrown in for good measure. BluezLord lists 186 active torrents, and all new accounts come with 4GB upload credit.

http://data-bg.org

Data-BG is a new Bulgarian tracker - currently lists 790 active torrents since coming online in July.

http://torrentstart.nu

Swedish TorrentStart has a ton of members (nearly 8,000) and 720 torrents in just 3 short weeks. Almost everything is either XviD or DVDR (PAL format, mostly) pertaining to both TV and movies.

http://peers.fm

No idea where Peers.fm came from (they’ve been around since 2007) but they seem to have been overlooked. This Belarusian tracker contains 4,000 torrents and has a member limit of 3,000. Signups are currently closed the last time we looked, but check back often.

http://fiberlinknet.ro

FiberLink is another July startup, and currently lists 285 active torrents (although we figure it to be much less, once you factor in the 0 seed torrents). This Romanian (and English) tracker is considered ‘general’ although more than half of the torrents are for movies and adult releases.

http://supertracker.hu

If there was an award for the ugliest torrent tracker on the ‘net, SuperTracker may just win in a landslide. Browsing & downloading are a royal pain in the ass; categories are only available through a dropdown box. 830 total torrents, though.

http://www.fsh.ro

  • — Category: Romanian (general)
  • — Signup: here.

FSH is one of those trackers that can’t decide whether or not to be public or private. More than half of their advertised 740 torrents are using public trackers.

Duds…

http://teamtptb.com

  • — Category: Public Tracker
  • — Signup URL: Don’t Bother.

TeamTPTB shouldn’t be listed here or anywhere else, aside from warning potential members that all torrents here use public trackers. Just use mininova or Isohunt - you won’t need to go through the signup trouble, or deal with TS Special Edition.

www.3xp3rim3nt.info

  • — Category: General
  • — Signup URL: here.

Not much going on yet at Experiment - just 13 torrents on a default xBTiT theme.

http://traffic-zone.siteoficial.ro

  • — Category: Unknown

Their official motto says "seed of die" which should probably read seed or die. Regardless, you’ll only find one torrent that you’ll be able to seed anyways - since, well, there’s only one torrent on the site. For those looking for the film GhostBusters from 1984 - here’s a tracker that carries it (and just it).
