More than ever before, seedbox usage is quickly becoming less of a luxury - and more of a necessity. Whether you’re simply looking to download torrents in your college dorm, or looking to amass giant buffers on your private tracker accounts, a seedbox can accomplish this - and a whole lot more. Here are 11 new seedbox providers; including a ‘free 24 hour trial’ seedbox, as well as a super speedy 2000 Mbit dedicated box for £75/mo.
UPDATE: 09/09/09. Seedbox providers that no longer exist have now been removed from this post. Stats and info regarding others have now been updated.
This is Part IV of a comprehensive series on seedboxes - additional seedbox providers can be found here in Part I, Part II & Part III.

About: If you need a seedbox fast (or only for a week) to save that precious account at HDBits - Xirvik.com is an viable option - new accounts are set up within 12 hours (as advertised). One great feature is that their servers are located around the globe - users can opt for a seedbox hosted in the U.S., Germany, France, The Netherlands or even Luxembourg. Perhaps the best bargain is their $50 dedicated seedbox which comes with a 240 GB drive and unlimited/unmetered everything.
Unseen anywhere else, when you login to your Xirvik account you’ll reach a secure page where you can select from either TFlux or rTorrent to get to your seedbox (URL). Better still, you can choose from three different GUIs of rTorrent on-the-fly (wTorrent, RuTorrent or rtGUI - right from the login page). If you don’t like one, just switch over to another - or use all three (four, if you include switching to TFlux).

About: SavvySeed is a TPS side project (think WB & VB from What.cd) that offers unbelievable deals at low-cost for a variety of seedbox plans; all come with both unlimited torrents & bandwidth. Refreshingly, server specs and number of maximum users per box are outlined for each package (something of which many seedbox resellers choose not to provide details for). SavvySeed is more of a long-term seedbox, and offers decent discounts for multi-month contracts.
Provider: www.seedboxkings.com - Dead

About: We wouldn’t go out of our way to recommend their regular "torrent" seedboxes due to pricing & torrent limits - however; if there’s one thing going for SeedboxKings it’s that they provide NZB seedboxes pre-configured through TFlux - something of which is generally not included through most shared boxes.

About: We haven’t tested them out, but MrSeedbox offers very affordable TorrentFlux packages starting at just $10 for 5 torrents, unlimited bandwidth & 15 GB storage. For just $20/mo. users get 17 active torrents & 55 GB drivespace, making it a very affordable seedbox that can satisfy just about any torrenter.
The Test: Our box was an OVH Kimsufi; were able to ‘burst’ out over 10MB/s DL speed. All in all, good value for the money.

Provider: http://superseeder.eu

Access To Files: FTP, SFTP.
Setup Time: not known.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited (unmetered) - but perhaps subject to OVH rules on throttling outside of (non-OVH) traffic after 3TB, which would transgress to a limit of 10Mbit thereafter.
Watch out for: Recent URL changes (not good); unknown feedback on services.
About: Superseeder offers shared seedboxes starting at $20/mo. which includes 15 active torrents and 100 GB storage. All other plans & services come with unlimited torrents and traffic (keep in mind the OVH outside traffic limits).
NOTE: Even their most basic ’shared’ package comes with both SFTP and VNC - so users can connect directly to the uTorrent.exe application on the server, in addition to using uTorrent WebUI). Thus, the ’shared’ plans are VPNs.
Provider: http://pandorahosting.net
Update: As of August 7th 2009, PandoraHosting no longer provides seedboxes directly through their hosting services. At this time, it’s unknown if whether or not they still allow seedboxes to be set up through their dedicated servers - although we’d guess the answer to be yes.
