For the past 5 years irc.p2p-network.net has been dominating the IRC P2P scene, and no one has taken the step to try and compete… until now. Introducing irc.p2p-net.eu - the latest P2P IRC network. Originally P2P-NET.eu was irc.TehConnection.eu, and it was for use by TehConnection members only. The Network/Systems administrator of P2P-NET.eu - SpX21 - began to realize the need for a new IRC network that caters to the ever-expanding list of torrent sites that are sprawled out across different networks.
There’s some big names behind p2p-net.eu, including veteran BT staff:
- — Wi0 - Moderator @ TehConnection.eu, and Services Administrator on P2P-NET.eu
- — NerdCore - SysOp @ DigitalHive.org, and Services Administrator on P2P-NET.eu
- — Lart - Site Developer @ TehConnection.eu and Tech/Server Administrator on P2P-NET.eu
- — EnCrypt - Moderator @ DigitalHive.org, and Security Administrator on P2P-NET.eu
- — Addicted - Ex-SCC staff, owner of the reknowned NOPNET Pre Networks, and Services Administrator on P2P-NET.eu
Together they run an indestructable network; it has been setup to run itself from the server-side fully automated. Its servers have the best DDoS mitigation in the western hemisphere and it is completely secure making your chat completely anonymous (server to server encryption + client to server).
In less than two short months they now run the 150th largest IRC Network, currently ranked 98% higher than most. Their largest public channels include #Pre (pre announce, amazingly accurate, multiple network links, all nukenets, etc); #Tracers which has over 20 sites added at the moment, it uses their accurate PreDB; #TR.Chat which is the chat and stats channel for #Tracers.
Other Channels of Interest:
#TehConnection, #BitRefinery, #FapLife, #PTN (and subsidiaries)
#Tracers (short for ‘Torrent Racers’)
If you’ve never seen a Tracers channel, you need to check it out. Its primary function is to show which 0day tracker "wins" the race to have a new scene release first. Hence, the winning tracker will therefore have the best pre-time for that particular release.
Common commands in #tracers include:
- — !site <sitename> - Shows some simple stats for one site
- — !siteinfo <sitename> - Displays information about the site
- — !db - Shows the total number of races in the database
- — !sites - Shows all the sites and their wins over all the time
- — !yearstats - Shows all the sites and their wins over the last year
- — !weekstats - Shows all the sites and their wins over the last 7 days
- — !daystats - Shows all the sites and their wins over the last 24 hours
- — !search <release.name> - Searches for a release
- — !last10 <sitename> - Displays the last 10 releases from a site
#Pre
A pre channel is an IRC channel in which a bot (prebot) announces new topsite warez (pre) releases in real time. The p2p-net.eu #pre channel is the 2nd largest public ‘pre’ announce channel on IRC.
