2 New ‘Tracker Invites’ Forums Recruiting Good Members

August 14, 2008 by sharky

If private trackers are your life, then you’ll be pleased to know there’s two brand-new Invites Forums that have recently been launched. We can’t give you the URLs, since they’re both by way of "Invite Only" (for now) and they wish to remain a secret.

However, for the first one (called "Sin") serious applicants can apply through the admin (YOUWHAT) of PS3Nation.net. You’ll need to be a member there first, and fill out a short questionnaire about private trackers (it’s simple if you know anything about BitTorrent). Look for the application thread here:

Here’s a sneak-peek at their INDEX page:

SIN serves up the usual fare of BitTorrent Invite topics and threads. The forum is well-organized and the Tracker Reviews are fresh, and include decent descriptions with loads of screen captures.

Tracker Giveaways are divided into Level 1 & 2 and Level 3+ sections:

SIN works on a two-part ‘Rep’ system; however, more reps are given to users who give away higher-level trackers. In addition to the rep system, there’s also an "Invite Score system" in place, which tracks the number of invites each member has given away. It’s good to see a torrent forum that breaks down the rep system into two categories - great for deciding who to give out invites to.

Other things you should know:

  • — Users can nominate people for rep points in the nomination section.
  • — There are a variety of ways to get rep (besides giveaways) - including tracker reviews, detailed articles, tutorials, original posts, etc.
  • — Rep points can also be taken away for spamming, not obeying site rules, etc.
  • — You’ll need at least one rep point to apply for giveaways (and 10 forum posts for Level 1 & 2 trackers; 20 posts for Level 3+).
  • — Accounts will be disabled to those who don’t contribute - SIN isn’t a forum for lurkers.
  • — All links to external links should be posted using their SecureURL button (to prevent linkbacks).

TiF

TiF is another brand-new Tracker Invites forum with a slick layout that shows some promise. Again, we can’t give out the URL but users can contact the admin at illuminatecrew[at]gmail[dot]com.
