22 New Private Trackers: April 2010 Edition

Quality over quantity - in this month’s new trackers article we’ve found at least 10 promising trackers worthy of signing up at. Seedzone is an impressive new ’scene’ tracker; Mobile.us pertains to all-things mobile/phone related; PornoPlus is a newer adult ’scene’ tracker; i-Console is a tracker dedicated to games of all types.

0Day/General Trackers…

SeedZone.org has been online for less than three weeks, yet already indexes nearly 1,000 total torrents. This is not an "everything" tracker - here you’ll only find XviD (movies & adult), MP3s, and TV episodes - all as scene releases.

Our prediction — Amazing start so far - SeedZone has a generous bonus system; has at least three different seedboxes used for uploading new torrents (great download speeds, btw); 50+ torrents are added daily. It’s unknown if SeedZone has sceneaxx, but it’s possible that their uploaders do, which is reflected in the above-average pretimes.

Tracker Zone has been around for at least a couple of months now, and lists 394 torrents and 1,920 members. Everything is freeleech until April 30th.

Our prediction — Meh, not the most visually appealing tracker you’ll come across, but they have a bit of a following. Members can expect to find a few interesting torrents (namely games in their "Hidden Object" browse category) and the usual staple of general stuff.

Angel-n-Demon lists 957 active torrents, with the oldest torrent being from January 7, 2010. Also has "SSL torrent" download option (https tracker). Their movies-xvid category makes up for nearly 40% of all torrents.

Our prediction — Not bad at all; lots of stuff to choose from, including a fair amount of unique content. We noticed that almost everything is seedbox hosted.

Adult Trackers…

PornoPlus calls itself ‘Italy’s Pr0n Tracker’, but in reality there’s very few true Italian adult releases to be found. Nevertheless, there’s some great stuff here for pr0n afficionados. Online since December ‘09, PornoPlus boasts 3,045 members and 400+ torrents. Good stuff to mention - there are three language options (EN/FR/IT) for navigating the site; and all new members start out with 5 GB upload credit. Unlike most pr0n trackers, registration is not always open (truth be told, FSF attempted to signup for 2 straight weeks before the doors finally opened yesterday).

Our Prediction — Thumbs up… if you’re into adult scene releases (non-spam), as PornoPlus indexes many of the new XviD (1.36GB) releases rolling in from the major players DivXfacTory, Pr0nStarS, XCiTE, SWE6RUS et al.

Fast downloading, but why? — One thing that seemed odd, though: the download speed for 1-seed torrents will max out your connection. It’s somewhat of a phenomenon; speeds like this are rarely seen on public trackers; yet stats in the BT client suggest much higher peering than as reported on the site. Below (image1) is the torrent on PornoPlus; and (image2) is the same torrent as downloading in uTorrent. Image3 shows the tracker announce URL, one that is specific to each release, with a *.ts extension. And to clarify: the DL stats were properly reported to our account, so go figure! We’re not complaining, mind you - download speeds are sick!

xXxplicite.ca is a French scene/general adult tracker with 1,200 members, though you wouldn’t expect it since absolutely nothing is going on here. The site claims to index 114 torrents (but there are only 54 ‘active’ torrents on the browse page).

Our prediction — Not a single new torrent has been added during the past two weeks; this can only suggest that even staff have abandoned this one. Alexa Rank = 20 million (this should tell you something).

International Trackers…

https://www.fusion-torrent.net

Fusion-Torrent v2 offers both a https browse and SSL tracker, and indexes 1,450 active torrents dating back to January 31st, 2010. Most of the content here is French only (x264, XviD, DVDR-PAL, TV/eps).

Our prediction — This one will likely be popular amongst the French torrent community (internationally, there’s very little here of interest to English users). Signups are currently closed, but check back.

Online since March 15th, GT-Torrents already lists 615 torrents and 4,000 members on this Russian tracker. From what we can tell, there are no other language options other than Russian; although most of the torrents have alternative English title descriptions.

Our prediction — Strange site; public trackers are often added to the announce URL list in the torrents, in addition to using their own private tracker (we’ve never encountered a tracker that does this before; it’s usually one or the other - not both).

BrazilTorrents is a new Brazilian (Portuguese-language) tracker with an English browse option, which has been online for about two months now. Stats: 1,351 registered members and 295 torrents on this Gazelle tracker.

Our prediction — Exactly as the name suggests, this tracker is all about Brazil - you won’t find anything here elsewise. Brazilian movies/subs, eBooks, magazines and music make up the majority of the content.

We’re unsure how long CineNews has been around for, but their oldest torrent is from 26/02/2010. This very popular Italian tracker boasts 5,350 members & 1,568 torrents. At last check, direct registration was closed (but check back) - site also supports a multi-language option on signup.

Niche Trackers…

Launched on March 17th, Mobile.us focuses specifically on mobile releases for phones & handheld devices. Stats on the homepage suggest 5,444 registered members and 517 total torrents.

Our prediction — While Mobile.us can’t hold a candle to SyncTheBits, this is still a good tracker in its own right - if only it can recover from unpredictable downtime.

euTorrents is a new movie tracker, mostly for obscure English and non-English releases with European subtitles (French, Russian, Italian, Spanish are the main ones, but releases are not specific only to these languages). The tracker lists 2,370 members and 393 torrents since coming online back on March 8th.

Our prediction — There should be a fairly decent market for euTorrents. Releases are also indexed on their blog homepage; complete with descriptions, trailers, screenshots and movie info.

Officially launching on March 17th, i-Console is a games tracker for just about any type of game release (console/retro/PC). Currently everyone is allowed to upload to i-Console, and all torrents are freeleech until April 8th.

Our prediction — Off to a great beginning, i-Console already indexes 222 torrents with 2,683 members. Expect great things from i-Console - this tracker is brought to us from the same team behind XWT, DesireLounge & All4Nothing. http://www.bitsonik.net (codebase: TBDev) — Just 44 torrents added during their first two weeks since coming online on 03/22/2010. Nice design, though!

http://blacktorrents.ro (codebase: TBDev) — This Romanian/English tracker shows 490 active torrents on the browse page, the oldest being from 02/23/2010. Some nice stuff here, big and small.

http://00-torrnets.com (codebase: TS-SE 6.3) — You won’t need to register to view the stats on this tracker - currently lists 181 members and 417 torrents.

http://devil-scene.org (codebase: TS-SE 5.6) — Just 8 members and 13 torrents since coming online yesterday.

http://fileiplay.org (codebase: TBDev) — RO/EN tracker; just 78 active torrents since February 20th. 63% of all torrents are smaller than 300MB.

http://www.lifebit.net (codebase: XBTiT v2) — Mostly an ‘HD’ tracker (with 720p/1080p releases); online since October. Torrents reportedly indexed is 123, although there’s only 51 total seeds throughout the site.

http://www.onoffon.net (codebase: TorrentTrader) — 50 torrents & 70 members make up this brand-new tracker.

http://warriortk.com — French tracker, online since November ‘08 - lists 758 active torrents on the browse page.

http://dev.darkedge.org — Info unknown; signups were closed when we checked.
